  Quand on télécharge une kernel-image, il y a un message important qui 
s'affiche:
"You're attempting to install an initrd kernel image. This will not work 
unless you have configured you'r boot loader....
configure lilo:'initrd.img=/initrd.img' to the image=/vmlinuz"
Ce qui donne pour mon lilo:

  image=/vmlinuz
	label=Linux
	read-only
#	restricted
#	alias=1

	initrd=/initrd.img

Le principe est identique pour grub je suppose avec une autre syntaxe.
