[Linux-bruxelles] [kernel] compilation 2.6.8

yo j'ai un souci de compilation, voici l'histoire:

Ayant deusx machines, l'une seravnt à la compilation (disque dur IDE) et
l'autre serveur (disque scsi/ aic7xxxx ) qui doit recevoir le nouveau noyau
: kernel-image-2.6.8-mppe (qui a le patch en M )

Ap. compile et boot sur la machine serveur, j'ai :

KERNEL PANIC : VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0;0)

Déjà testé:
* installation du noyau 2.68 sans compile sur le serveur = OK
* Compilation noyau 2.4.25+ pactch = OK parfait !
* Compilation en reprenant l'ancien fichier ( voir source en bas) = même
erreur
* mkinitrd -o /boot/initrd-image-2.6.8-perso /lib/modules/2.6.8-mppe
* autres solutions ???
