Voici où j'en suis:
Sur le net on donne deux façon de répondre à la question qui est 
"Le noyau a-t-il détecté le lecteur lors de l'amorçage ?"

Et je cherche les lignes qui parle de  hdb, hdc et hdd...mais le
résultat de dmesg me semble bizarre ?! Il m'en manque un ? mais pas dans
/var/log/messages ... ???
