OFSET is organizing FreeEDEM on February 21 and 22 2004 in Brussels, at the
same time FOSDEM is organized in the same city (in order to let people choose
at the latest time which to attend)

FreeEDEM is a conference about Free software and free content and education.
It will be followed by developpement sessions and sprints on tha days 23 - 25
Ferbary.

We are still looking for speakers especially from non European countries.

Could you please consider to come and let me know what you wold like to speak
about in the context of the theme that is (broad) Free software and free
content and education.

We are also looking for people to help with the organisation, and translation,
as well as some other marketing like activities.

The keynote will be done by Michael Hart, founder of the Gutenberg project in
1971. See http://gutenberg.net

We hope to have other important and representative members of the Free
Software community (maybe RIchard Stallman himself) sometimes during the
conference.

Many officials will attend (most probably Belgian ministers and a European
Commissionner) and we will have funds to pay for travels and lodging of the
speakers as well as for the organization.

More info on http://www.ofset.org/wiki/index.php/FreeEDem2004 the official
place where the "developpement" and project management is done so far, as
openly as possible.

Please do not hesitate to joind the organisation mailing list and, if a (even
only potential) speaker, to fill a "Interview page " on the wiki.

Please do not hesitate to spread the news around ... and especially to come
back first for more info. And to spread the official news when the definitive
web site will be ready, by December 31 at the latest.

By December 31, we shall have a dedicated multinlingual web site that will be
hosted at www.freeedem.org. We are so far preparing it and translating it. If
you could help, please let us know.

THanks

Nicolas Pettiaux
