Hello!

I don't know if this is the right list, but it's at least the right
community.

I need some help about how to find a job in Belgium

I'm a computer science student with lot's of experience in administering
Linux (Debian, Suse, Redhat and Mandrake), Unix (Solaris and Ultrix) and
Windows 2000 Servers.

I want to take one or two your break at my studies and move in a flat
with my fiancee in Brussels.

I've been looking for a job in Brussels quiet some time now, but I guess
I'm doing something wrong.

When I had been looking for a job here, it had just been easy. There had
been two ways. One way is by telling your friends, and the other one is
by asking job agencies like orbem for a job and applying there.

After you applied for a job, it's quiet likely to get an invitation for
an interview, and if the chemistry is right and you fulfill the
requirements, you normally get it.

As an example:
I got my last job here in germany by the "Arbeitsamt", they handed out a
phone number to me, I called there friday afternoon, had an interview
tuesday morning at 8:00am, we had been talking to each other for 30mins,
my abilities at administering Linux/Unix-Server had been checked, and we
made a few jokes, and I'm working at this company for about a year now.
It's a consultancy agency with most customers in the financial area,
including most well known german banks and the second and third biggest
banks in Switzerland.

I must have a mistake in my CV, and I don't dare to call companies in
Brussels. Do you know somewhere to have a look and help me with my CV?
Is there somewhere to get informations about how to behave if you want
to get the job?

Thanks in advance,
  Christian Albertsen <manna at husum.net>
