Ben en fait, ca ne fonctionne plus chez moi non plus !!
dans reportbug, j'ai trouvé le bug 140268:

The last version of gphoto2 worked flawlessly with my Canon Powershot
S10.  I simply made sure the kernel was compiled with USB support and
USB filesystem support, connected the camera, and ran 'gphoto2 -P' to
fetch all the photos from the camera.
The I did an apt-get upgrade and gphoto2 was upgraded.  Now it fails.
At the bottom of this message I have included debug output.
Note that I check in /proc/bus/usb/001 and under it I see the directory
created when the camera is attached.


Ce qui correspond exactement à notre problème...
Faudra patienter.
